Ge4 Global Education Summit 2025 in Chihuahua

Representatives from Latin America, Asia, and Europe participated in the GE4 annual meeting and summit held in Chihuahua from June 2 to 4, 2025. Despite the uncertain geopolitical climate, all member universities from these continents attended in person, while others engaged remotely through virtual participation in discussions and presentations. The Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH), serving as the host institution this year, ensured that every participant felt warmly welcomed and valued as a distinguished guest. Networking sessions following the presentations fostered stronger connections, facilitated better mutual understanding, and opened the door to new collaborations and partnerships.

The event underscored the growing importance of global engineering — an approach that promotes diversity, innovation, and sustainable development through international collaboration. Embracing an open mindset and engaging with the world around us are crucial for addressing complex engineering challenges in today’s interconnected society. The summit highlighted how working across borders can enhance educational experiences, broaden perspectives, and prepare engineers and entrepreneurs to thrive in a globalized environment.

Furthermore, the meeting reaffirmed the vital role of face-to-face interactions. While virtual communication has become an essential tool, it cannot fully replace the value of personal meetings. Physical encounters foster deeper connections, trust, and spontaneous collaboration that are often missing online. The GE4 family thus plays a special role in bringing people together in person, creating opportunities for meaningful exchanges that strengthen the community and inspire innovative ideas.
